So you Want to get Tattooed?
18 and older

If you are at least 18 years of age or older, you must have identification, as in a valid Government photo I.D., like a Drivers License, Military I.D., or up-to-date Passport.

 

 

18 and younger

If you are under the age of 16, legally you are not eligable for a tattoo.  It is now against the law to tattoo anyone under the age of 16 regardless of consent.

 

The minor must have identification, as in a valid Government issued photo I.D.

 

The minor is required to be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. The parent/legal guardian must have a valid Government issued photo I.D.

 

The parent/legal guardian must have proof of guardianship, as in a certified copy of the minors Birth Certificate with the parent/legal guardian on it.  Or certified legal guardianship pappers showing proof of legal guardianship.

 

The minor tattoo consent form and the Lee County Health Deparment tattoo consent letter must have the notorized signatures of the parent/legal guardian accompanying the minor.  

There are absolutely no acceptions in the above stated requirements.  These are actual Laws to protect minors. Famous Tattoos & Body Piercing will not break them for anyone.  If you are under the age of 18, you are lawfully disqualified from recieving tattoos of any kind around the area of genitals and as well as any where that Famous Tattoos & Body Piercing may deem distasteful.  Feel free to contact us with any questions concerning this matter.

When you get a tattoo, it's not going anywhere!  It will be a part of you for the rest of your life.  So taking care of it is a pretty smart investment! Listen to your artist, follow the guidelines as best you can. Not only to ensure your new tattoo will look great, but also for your own personal health and safety!  

Tattoo Aftercare Guide

CLEANING & AFTERCARE SOLUTIONS

•A fragrance-free liquid anti-microbial or germicidal soap.  Like Satin®, Provon® or Dial®

•Tattoo Goo® ointment & lotion

•H2Ocean® sterile sea salt spray

 

FIRST 3-4 DAYS

Wash & apply a small amount of Tattoo Goo® ointment 3-4 times per day.

 

WASH your hands with antibacterial or anitmicrobial soap.  

CLEAN using antibacterial or germicidal soap and water to gently remove any ointment, blood or plasma. Do not use a washcloth or anything abrasive. Your hands work best in this case.

RINSE off all traces of the soap from the tattoo.

DRY by patting with disposable paper products.

APPLY a thin layer of Tattoo Goo® ointment.

 

5-21 DAYS

Wash & apply a small amount of Tattoo Goo® lotion 2-3 times per day.

 

WASH your hands with antibacterial or anitmicrobial soap.  

CLEAN using antibacterial or germicidal soap and water to gently remove any ointment and bacteria. Do not use a washcloth or anything abrasive. Your hands work best in this case.

RINSE off all traces of the soap from the tattoo.

DRY using clean disposable paper products. 

APPLY a thin layer of Tattoo Goo® lotion.

WHAT IS NORMAL?

Initially there may be some bleeding, swelling, 

tenderness, or even slight bruising.

During healing some discoloration, scabbing and 

itching may occur.

 

HINTS AND TIPS

•Take showers, bath tubs always harbor bacteria. 

•Stay healthy & eat healthy; thus the faster it will heal. 

•Make sure your bedding is washed or changed daily.

•Wear clean and breathable clothing to protect tattoo. 

•Protect it with a minimum 45SPF sunblock daily.  (After healed)

 

WHAT TO AVOID

•Submerging your tattoo under water. No swimming.

•Scrubbing too hard when washing or drying.

•Applying any ointments other then recommended.

•Scratching, especially while scabbing exists.

•Over-cleaning. It can damage a healing tattoo.

•Exposing the tattoo to direct sunlight.

•Others’ bodily fluids around the tattoo while healing.

•Using beauty products on or around the tattoo.
